Austintown Middle School Certified Babysitters

Recently, the American Red Cross Mahoning Chapter certified 45 students in Babysitting. Our largest class EVER at Austintown Middle School!!!

And as we gear up for spring, the Mahoning Chapter is currently setting up courses that can either be held at your facility or our own - Schools, Churches, groups, you name it, we can teach you the BEST babysitter's course in the country.

11-15 year old boys and girls are encouraged to enroll in this wonderful program to become better babysitters and more responsible big brothers & sisters.

The $30.00 course fee includes 7 hours of training, babysitter Handbook, Red Cross T-shirt and pen and 20 business cards for our “Certified Babysitters”. Learn infant and child care, safety, leadership, responsibility, 1^st aid and emergency care.

This program has been referred to as “The Best Babysitter Training Course in the World”. Make your child “Red Cross Ready”

Our next community course here at the chapter is being held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Make sure you BRING A LUNCH!!!

From January 1, 2008 though April 30, 2008 the Mahoning Chapter has opened 25 Cases ~ 23 Fire Cases & 2 Flood Cases. The chapter has assisted 90 individuals and sheltered 48.

Additionally, from January 1, 2008 through March 31, 2008 the Mahoning Chapter assisted 212 individuals through 53 cases in Service to the Armed Forces (S.A.F.) cases.
